Symptoms of Acid Reflux Disease


You may have acid reflux commonly known as GERD and not even know it. They symptoms may be mild and you may think of this as just occasional heartburn and may not get treatment. These are very similar and hard to tell apart but here are some of the main symptoms of acid reflux disease.

1. The first is a burning sensation in your chest and throat. This usually occurs after big meals or laying down on your back, especially at night when you are sleeping.

2. You may have a unpleasant taste in your mouth most of the time. This can be a bitter or a sour taste and it occurs after eating spicy meals or large meals at one time. .

3. Burping, or feeling nausea after eating meals.

4. Stomach pains and feeling discomfort in your upper stomach.

5.Having heartburn in the middle of the night, hours after eating. This is from the stomach acid flows back up into the esophagus and causes the burning sensations that you are feeling. This can also occur in the chest and cause chest pains. If you are not sure if its heartburn or a heat attack, you will want to get it checked out to be sure.

If you have these common symptoms you may have acid reflux and will want to get it checked out. This disease can cause many problems such as the stomach acids may damage the lining of the esophagus over time.

There are many medications and diet modifications that you can try to get lessen the effects of this disease. You don't have to suffer from it.

There are many ways to treat acid reflux naturally. There are also many prescriptions that you can get from a physician that will help you treat and live with this disease. You don't have to suffer with acid reflux, you do have many options to choose from when you have more than just mild heartburn.
